Life throughout europe has become difficult for many with the economic problems widespread. The downvalue of the GB Pound against the Euro requires everyone living or holidaying in europe to seek out the best value.You will find it in the Algarve. Whilst prices at the supermarket have risen in line with the UK they are in general still a little cheaper. Dining out always was, and is still excellent value. Overall, a better standard of living in a far superior climate is still the norm for Algarve residents and holidaymakers. Hotel and other accommodation businesses are reporting a drop in demand, and this has led to some very good deals for the tourist. Other businesses have trimmed their prices to compete more effectively for the reduced number of tourists, leading once again to great deals on offer. 
Now is a great time to take a holiday in the ever popular Algarve, and for those seeking to escape more permanently, without the risks of property purchase as often found in Spain, there are many investment opportunities on offer in this sunny and friendly part of europe.

Aqualand  ¶ Waterpark with attractions for all tastes and ages, adventure and relaxation areas, swimming pools and children's playground. Located in the town of Alcantarilha, 15km from Albufeira. At Apartado 11, EN125, Sitio das Areias, Alcantarilha.

Aquashow  ¶ With roller coasters, water themed amusements, swimming pools, a mini-golf course, restaurants, a museum, shops, tropical garden and leisure areas. Open 10:00-17:30. Semino, EN396, Quarteira, 8125-303 Loule.

Bellavista Leisure Park  ¶ Park with mini-golf course, fun factory, quad bikes, football and tennis school, internet access, Bella's club and weekly activities. Also caters for birthday parties. At Quinta da Bellavista, Apartado 2101, 8200-916 Albufeira.

Fonte de Benemola  ¶ Natural area with an array of flora and fauna. Two protected colonies of bats are found in the park. At Praca da Republica, 8100-951 Loule.

Parque Mineiro Cova dos Mouros  ¶ Pre-historic mining park organising gold searches, archeological excavation simulations and children's donkey rides. For groups of over 15 people or individuals joining groups with a reservation. At Reserva da Foupana Vaqueiros, Alcoutim.

Parque Natural da Ria Formosa  ¶ Vast natural park that covers 60km of coastline from Manta Rota to Vale do Lobo. Various nature trails for walkers and Portuguese Water dog kennels within the park. Centro de Educacao Ambiental de Marim Quelfes, 8700 Olhao.

Rocha da Pena  ¶ A 600 hectare protected area located between Benafirm and Salir. There are many animals indigenous to the park including the buzzard, wild rabbits, foxes and wild boar. Area is suitable for walks and rock climbing. Equipment at Escola Primaria da Pena, 8

Sapal de Castro Marim Nature Reserve  ¶ A 2,089 acre park with salt works, creeks and green areas. Nature reserve for numerous species of bird and plantlife. At Sapal de Venta Moinhos Apartado 7, 8950-138 Castro Marim.

In general, you will find that the Algarve, with its mild climate, reasonably priced restaurants, breathtaking scenery, friendly people and excellent golf courses, and other leisure facilities all combine to make it an excellent place to live.
